Job Description

About Andrenam

We’re building sonar and sensing systems that bring light to the last dark domain: the ocean. Our team includes alumni from SpaceX, Anduril, ABL, and Qualia. We build full-stack—from physics to perception to product—with speed, elegance, and an unwavering commitment to the mission.

We believe the maritime domain will define the next century of geopolitics and global security. We’re here to shape it.

What You’ll Do

We’re hiring our first talent ops individual to help build a generational company from the ground up. You’ll work closely with the founders and technical leads to find, close, and onboard top talent across engineering, operations, GTM, and G&A. This role is hybrid based out of our office in Hawthorne (expected at least 2-3 days per week in office). You will:

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across hardware, software, AI/ML, field ops, and generalist roles
  • Partner with hiring managers to define roles and write job descriptions that actually attract the right people
  • Build and manage top-of-funnel pipelines—via sourcing, events, referrals, and creative channels
  • Run a human-centered recruiting process from outreach to offer
  • Create systems and workflows for scale (ATS hygiene, scorecards, candidate tracking, calibration loops)
  • Help shape our employer brand, both online and offline
  • Represent Andrenam with clarity and conviction to every candidate, from cold email to offer close

Who You Are

You’ve hired exceptional people into ambiguous, high-agency roles—especially in early-stage and high-caliber engineering environments. You can source in your sleep, pitch with credibility, and build trust fast. You’re allergic to bureaucracy and energized by building from zero.

  • Strong track record hiring for hard-to-fill engineering or technical roles
  • Excellent sourcing and candidate assessment skills
  • Clear, compelling communicator—written and verbal
  • Highly organized and self-directed; thrives in fast-moving, low-structure environments
  • Motivated by mission and able to connect with candidates beyond just comp and perks
  • Bonus: Experience hiring in defense, aerospace, autonomy, AI, and/or early-stage hardware startups

Why join us?

Andrenam is an innovative, mission-driven company at the intersection of maritime autonomy and defense. We offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Long-term equity incentive program with significant growth potential.
  • Flexible PTO and paid holidays.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision insurance.
  • 401k
  • Lunch and snacks provided in office.
  • Access to a unique work environment, blending technology, maritime, and defense.

Salary Range

$140,000 - $170,00 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Andrenam's total compensation package. Additionally, Andrenam offers top-tier benefits for full-time employees, including: medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.

Disclosures

This position may require access to information protected under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
