We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** **What qualifications you will need:** Only those individuals who have met the following requirements can be accepted into the program: + · Live within the on- call range for the facility + · Enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technology program with good academic standing and not on academic probation. + · Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR from the American Red Cross + · Completed fundementals within the surgical technology program + · Optional: Completed a minimum of 8-16 hours of shadowing in an operating room setting to confirm the applicant's interest in and comfort with working in an operating room environment. + · Applied for an extern role at a facility within HCA Healthcare + · Met with Human Resources or department leadership to discuss employment details, role and responsibilities, program expectations, time commitments and required essential functions (see Appendix B) · Passed drug screening, Cleared criminal background check HCA Healthcare's Alaska Regional Hospital ( is known for our expertise, compassion and skills.
