Description

Senior Licensing and Credentialing Specialist

Arkansas Urology is seeking a detail-oriented Licensing and Credentialing Specialist. This team member will be responsible for managing all aspects of payor enrollment, state licensure, and credentialing. Your work will ensure that our Providers are licensed and enrolled across state regulatory bodies, healthcare facilities, and payors in a timely and compliant manner, enabling them to deliver care to patients without delay.

This role will serve as a key point of contact between providers, payors, and state licensing boards, and is critical to our ability to scale and deliver uninterrupted care. You’ll work closely with HR, compliance, and clinical operations to support onboarding and ongoing credentialing, keeping our provider network in good standing and fully operational.

Job Duties

  • Prepare, submit, and track payor enrollment applications for commercial and government payors.
  • Maintain current enrollment statuses and ensure timely revalidations, demographic updates, and re-credentialing.
  • Monitor enrollment cycles and deadlines and proactively submit required documentation.
  • Resolve issues and delays with payor enrollment through direct communication with insurance companies.
  • Manage the end-to-end process for state medical license applications and renewals.
  • Track licensure expiration dates and initiate renewal processes to prevent lapses.
  • Fulfill all state board requirements, including CME documentation, fees, background checks, and fingerprinting.
  • Ensure complete provider files including CVs, licenses, DEA, malpractice certificates, and other required documentation.
  • Regularly audit records to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with providers about outstanding requirements, deadlines, and next steps.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in provider credentialing, payor enrollment, or multi-state medical licensing.
  • Familiarity with tools and platforms such as NPDB, CCVS and related credentialing systems.
  • Knowledge of credentialing standards from The Joint Commission.
  • Understanding of healthcare compliance, regulatory standards, and state licensing requirements.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
