This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X. This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Responsibilities Major Job Activities: + Drives a variety of diesel- or gas-powered busses/vans for select events (12 to 44 passenger seat) to transport passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to time schedule. + Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort + Complies with local traffic regulations and reports delays or accidents. + Make repairs and change tires, if needed. + Inspects bus/van and checks gas, oil, and water before departure. + Loads and unloads baggage or express items checked by passengers. + Operates a flight-line shuttle service or provide transportation services for aircrews and passengers at AAAF. + Provides shuttle service and/or loaner of a Government General Purpose Vehicle(s) (GPV) as required for authorized TDY customers in support of operational requirements to locations around AAAF. + Oversees and ensures safety of all passengers by adhering to speed limit signs and designated pick-up/ drop off areas. + Performs other duties and assignments as required. Material & Equipment Directly Used: + Buses/vehicles, mechanical tools, and equipment. Working Environment: + The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside + Shift work and/or flexible working hours and/or overtime and/or assigned rest day rotation may be required. Subject environmental conditions activities can occur both inside and outside. + Physically capable of working in hot or warm weather all year long, with little change in seasons. Physical Activities: + Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. + Physically capable of working in hot or warm weather all year long, with little change in seasons. Qualifications Education / Certifications: + Must have a home country driver's license. + No specific certifications are required Experience / Skills: + Minimum of one (1) year experience operating a motor vehicle + Must be able to effectively communicate in English. + Must be able to work under pressure, individually or in a team and be service oriented.
