We are seeking a Senior Lead Cloud Database Architect to join our team. This role involves working with an experienced professional services team to assist customers in migrating to and operating within the Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), focusing primarily on data and databases. Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with colleagues and customers to resolve data challenges. Assess and remediate sizing, performance, and configuration issues. Plan and execute data migrations, independently or as part of larger cloud migration efforts. Modernize database platforms (e.g., MSSQL, Oracle to PgSQL, Aurora). Design and implement data lakes and ETL pipelines. Provide consulting guidance to customers and prospects, and assist colleagues with planning and writing Statements of Work. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s Degree with 6 years, or a Ph.D. with 3 years, or 12 years of relevant experience without a degree. At least 3 years of relevant public cloud experience. Specialty/Intermediate certifications in AWS and/or Azure cloud data services (e.g., AWS Database Specialty, DP-100, DP-203, DP-300, DP-500). Expertise with MS SQL Server and at least one additional platform (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, CosmosDB), both on-premises and in the cloud. Hands-on experience with ETL tools and Infrastructure-as-Code implementations (ARM, CloudFormation, Terraform). Familiarity with Identity and Access Management models in on-premises and cloud environments. Experience with migration tools such as backup/restore, log shipping, Always On, AWS DMS, Schema Conversion, Azure Migrate, AWS Glue. Preferred Experience: Professional/Expert cloud architecture certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect - Professional, AZ-305). Experience with analytics or data warehousing platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, RedShift, Azure DataLake. Experience with AI/ML applications and pipelines. Industry knowledge in Healthcare, Financial Services, SaaS, or E-Commerce sectors. Compensation & Benefits: The annual salary ranges from $144,900 to $241,500, based on experience and location.
