Job Title: Senior Healthcare Architect / Senior Health Planner

Location: New York, NY, United States

Pay rate: $50-62/HR OR 100-125K

About the Role

The client is seeking a Senior Healthcare Architect / Senior Health Planner with expertise in healthcare planning, design, and project coordination. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of building design techniques, healthcare infrastructure trends, and regulatory standards-combined with a commitment to collaboration and mentoring. In this leadership role, you will help design healthcare facilities that enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support planning, design, and coordination on healthcare-related projects and pursuits.

Develop accurate technical drawings, specifications, and presentation materials.

Apply advanced knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, zoning regulations, and healthcare design standards.

Research, plan, design, and administer healthcare building projects for clients.

Create presentation drawings, diagrams, and narratives for healthcare planning proposals.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless design integration.

Stay current with healthcare facility design trends and implement best practices.

Mentor junior staff and colleagues interested in healthcare planning.

Utilize problem solving, critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and visualization skills to deliver high-quality design solutions.

Perform additional duties as needed in support of client and organizational goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.

Minimum 12 years of professional experience in architecture, with healthcare focus.

Strong organizational and leadership skills.

In-depth knowledge of building materials, methods, and construction tools.

Proficiency in design techniques, technical plan production, drawings, and modelling tools.

Understanding of healthcare design trends, planning requirements, and facility workflows.
