The Program Management Division serves as an interface between Public Safety Communications (PSC) and the public safety agencies it supports for communications services. The Program Management Division oversees service intake, project management, and the organizational processes that facilitate PSC’s service delivery. Under direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) performs a variety of project related work and client services as part of the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services’ (Cal OES), Public Safety Communications’ Program Management Division. Additionally, the ITS I works as a Subject Matter Expert and is responsible for providing project management and client services to PSC and the public safety agencies it serves. The incumbent is a skilled technical consultant in providing project management oversight to critical, public safety communications technology projects. The IT Spec I independently plans, implements, and monitors complex public safety projects to support PSC’s service delivery.

Working Conditions

Hybrid Telework: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Additional in office days may be required based on the business need.
