Hourly Wage: $21-$24 (based on experience and qualifications)

What You'll Do:

• Perform microbiological analyses using cultural and rapid methodologies (e.g., real-time PCR) to identify pathogens, spoilage organisms, and indicators in food, water, and environmental samples.
• Maintain strict adherence to laboratory protocols and quality assurance programs to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Interact with clients to communicate results, address inquiries, and assist with sampling supply coordination.
• Support process improvements to enhance the accuracy and turnaround time of results.
• Contribute to inventory management, quality control, and budget-related activities.
• Provide assistance with laboratory maintenance, documentation, and equipment calibration.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related field.
• Hands-on laboratory experience, including sterile technique and pure culture maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus).
• Time management, organizational, and people skills are highly valued.
• Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to changing schedules.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to assist with laboratory coverage and supplemental trainings at our satellite laboratories
