Position Summary A Risk and Opportunity Manager spends the majority of their time identifying potential risks and opportunities and develops the strategy to manage and/or mitigate these opportunities as applicable. The Risk and Opportunity Manager will cross functionally work with other departments to implement risk reduction measures and monitor the efficiency.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities - Develop and implement a comprehensive Risk and Opportunity (R&O) process and procedure for production programs to include process flow, review cadence, risk board, procedures for identifying, tracking, mitigating/capturing, and closing items.
- Partner with Program Management to identify risk and opportunities, their impact to the program portfolios, and possible contingencies and capture plans to reduce risk impact and maximize opportunity space. Quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate risks and opportunities to prioritize their management strategies.
- Report weekly/monthly and long-term risk position with the ability to understand and communicate impacts of realizing risk across multiple programs to leadership. Monitor and assess the success of implemented risk management programs and protocols. Determine where changes and/or updates to the risk and opportunity management strategies are needed. Ensure compliance with risk and opportunity management policies and procedures.
- Partner with, IT, and program leadership to implement risk & opportunity management software and ensure effective utilization across the production program portfolio.
Requirements SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: - Degree in Business Management or Engineering or 5+ years of experience in program management, operations, or engineering
- PMP Certification a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
