Reports To: Kindergarten Teacher and School Principal

St. Clement of Rome School, a vibrant Catholic school community dedicated to academic excellence and faith formation, is seeking a caring and dependable Kindergarten Teaching Assistant to support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and well-organized classroom environment. The ideal candidate will assist in daily classroom activities, help foster the spiritual and academic growth of young learners, and uphold the mission and values of Catholic education.
Assist the Kindergarten teacher in implementing instructional activities and classroom routines.
Support students in individual and group settings during learning activities, playtime, and classroom transitions.
Help prepare classroom materials and maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment.
Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, lunchroom, playground, and during arrival/dismissal as needed.
Encourage positive behavior and help guide students in following classroom and school expectations.
Communicate effectively with the lead teacher and school staff to support student learning and development.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or experience in early childhood or elementary education preferred.
Experience working with young children in a classroom, daycare, or similar setting is a plus.
A warm, patient, and supportive demeanor with a passion for working with children.
Ability to follow directions, work collaboratively, and take initiative when needed.
Must complete and maintain compliance with the Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment Program.
