Role Overview: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Engineer/Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate eager to work at the intersection of data, automation, and advanced testing technologies. You will support the development and maintenance of data pipelines, dashboards, and monitoring systems that power insights across our diverse product lines.
Key Responsibilities: Data Engineering & Processing - Analyze machine-generated log files from test stands, medical devices, and automation systems.
- Clean and preprocess data to remove duplicates, noise, and errors.
- Augment datasets with derived features to enhance analytical value.
Visualization & Reporting - Design and implement dashboards tailored to specific test and measurement applications.
- Apply standard dashboard templates to new and existing datasets.
- Generate reports and visual summaries for internal and customer-facing use.
Data Collection & Ingestion - Develop and deploy data collectors for machines across automotive, aerospace, and medical domains.
- Configure systems to monitor, clean, transform, and ingest data into cloud platforms.
- Ensure data pipelines are robust, scalable, and secure.
Monitoring & Alerting - Set up thresholds and integrate webhooks for real-time alerts and notifications.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to data collectors, dashboards, and ELK stack components.
Collaboration & Maintenance - Participate in daily standups and agile team activities.
- Review and provide feedback on new datasets and data models.
- Perform backups and conduct code reviews for data-related components.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with data cleaning, transformation, and visualization tools.
- Basic understanding of the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Experience with core programming principles and design patterns.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.0
Bonus Skills: - Exposure to cybersecurity principles and secure data handling practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with Docker and/or other containerization technologies.
- Experience with REST APIs.
- Knowledge of test and measurement systems in automotive, aerospace, or medical device industries.
Salary Range $85,000 - $110,000
