Job Description

Elk Lake Resort is a multi-season rustic lodge and lake destination nestled just 30 minutes from Bend, Oregon. We have a marina, lakeside cabins, and a scenic campground and welcome guests seeking both relaxation and adventure. We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team and ensure exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction across all accommodations.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and motivate a team of housekeeping assistants to uphold high standards across cabins, lodge, and shared facilities
• Perform and oversee daily housekeeping tasks: changing linens, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, window cleaning, and sanitizing bathrooms
• Conduct inspections and provide hands-on training and coaching to new team members
• Coordinate with resort management to prioritize deep cleans, turnarounds, and special events
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and manage equipment needs
• Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally
• Report maintenance issues or unusual incidents to management

What We’re Looking For

• Proven housekeeping experience in a resort, lodge, or hospitality setting
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Physically capable of lifting, bending, and navigating a large resort property
• Willingness to work in a remote, natural setting
• “Whatever it takes” attitude and ability to thrive in a team environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be dependable, punctual, and adaptable
• Positive demeanor, especially when interacting with guests
