				 Accountant â Forensic Accounting   
  Calabasas, CA & Irvine, CA        $90,000 - $125,000          Direct, Full-Time        Hybrid        Public Accounting

 Our client is a fast-growing public accounting and consulting firm with multiple offices across the Western U.S. The team combines traditional accounting expertise with a dynamic consulting practice specializing in litigation and forensic accounting. The Lake Forest-based office is seeking an experienced Forensic Accountant to support engagements involving litigation support, valuations, and forensic analysis.

 WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING 
 
-  This is a client facing role that requires strong communication 
-  Support litigation and forensic accounting engagements, including financial investigations and economic damage analyses. 
-  Analyze and reconstruct financial data for use in expert reports and legal proceedings. 
-  Assist in the preparation of valuation models for business interests and intangible assets. 
-  Review and interpret financial statements, tax returns, and other supporting documents. 
-  Conduct tracing, cash flow, and lifestyle analyses to identify irregularities or fraud indicators. 
-  Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and colleagues to provide accurate and timely deliverables. 
-  Contribute to the preparation of written reports, schedules, and exhibits for litigation purposes. 
-  Perform bookkeeping and accounting tasks for business management clients, including AP/AR, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. 
-  Participate in assurance engagements such as audits, reviews, and compilations for small to mid-sized entities. 
-  Assist with tax preparation, research, and compliance for individuals and businesses. 
-  Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities with strong attention to detail. 
 WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE 
 
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting, ideally including forensic or litigation support work. 
-  Bachelorâs degree in Accounting or related field (CPA or CPA eligibility preferred). 
-  Solid understanding of financial statements and GAAP principles. 
-  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and QuickBooks. 
-  Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. 
-  Detail-oriented, proactive, and dependable with a collaborative mindset. 
-  Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
-  Willingness to travel locally for client engagements as required. 
-  Public accounting background or experience with assurance, valuation, or tax engagements. 
-  Demonstrated writing proficiency and ability to summarize complex financial information. 
-  Interest in developing forensic accounting credentials or advanced certifications.
